My 12yr old son and I spent 2 days hiking under the guidance of Olivier.

One of the most genuine people I have ever met and we felt comfortable with him from the start.

A great attitude, extremely capable, modest, humble and a true example of someone who is living their dream and wanting to share his experience and knowledge with others who want to sample, explore or challenge themselves in this environment without the bravado.

Thank you Olivier for helping create this lifetime memory with my son.

The program for this bivouac stay in Chamonix:

Day 1: Meet in Chamonix town centre on the morning of the first day.

The morning began with a theoretical session on the equipment used in bivouacking and optimization.

A hiking route will be set together, with priority given to the beauty of the landscape for our 5-star bivouac.

In the afternoon we will hike up the trails to reach our bivouac spot and set up camp.

Enjoy a pleasant sunset in the alpine pastures facing Mont Blanc before eating and going to bed.

Day 2: Breakfast in the mountains before descending back into the Chamonix valley.
End-of-stay debriefing.

Throughout this introduction to bivouacking, we will cover the following points:

  • What equipment should I choose? Tent / Tarp / Mattress / Sleeping bag / Stove?

  • Under what conditions and temperatures?

  • Optimizing your bivouac: Which location to choose and why?

  • What food should I take with me? (quick, easy, tasty, efficient and zero waste)

  • Tips for staying dry and warm in all circumstances.

  • What are the regulations for sleeping in nature?

  • How to take care of ecosystems during a bivouac?

What equipment do you need?

A list of equipment will be sent to you in advance.

However, the emphasis will be placed on avoiding the need to purchase equipment.

For this purpose, equipment can be loaned for certain items, and the rest is available for hire in a specialist shop not far from Chamonix.
